If the damage to your roof is fairly significant, even if it’s only in one part, it’s usually more cost-effective to have a re-roof done on the entire thing instead of just a portion. 

If your roof currently only has one layer of shingles on it, we can re-roof over the existing layer of shingles. However, if you already have two layers of shingles, we have no choice but to tear them off and start from scratch. Also keep in mind that shingles fastened directly to the roof deck will stand up better to high winds than shingles fastened to other shingles.
